Resident Artist, July 15 - August 15 2012 Residency Co-Facilitator, July 9 - August 17 2014
Mary Rothlisberger is a thinker, writer, conversationalist, and relationalist situated in the hinterland of North America. Her creative work is community-specific and socially responsive and thusly takes many different forms. She believes in a rational optimism, a compassionate intellect, and unconditional love. During her five-week residency, Mary built a new Hoping Machine, homesteaded the meadow, and collaborated with Paul for two weeks on a series of site-responsive projects. Paul and Mary lived on site, and their projects included making kites for the beach, daily bird-watching in the meadow, and searching for treasure in the local historical archives.
