Melissa creates sculptures and installations that integrate light, shadow and movement into space-transforming artworks. She arrived at Shared Space with a suitcase full of edge glow acrylic to experiment with. Her first day lead to a kitchen collaboration with Cara, making a series of bread cats. During her stay Melissa made several special breads and cakes, and transformed our main space for our showcase event with a series of small neon sculptures and a bright string installation. She talked shop with local 3-D printer enthusiasts, sharing her experience with jewelry production. Melissa even learned how to make a hammock that she installed in the meadow to create a new nap spot for future residents.
